For Beginners

  1. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you the freedom to bend and stretch with ease. Sweats, leggings or other athletic gear work best. Yoga is practiced with bare feet. You may layer your clothing so that you can adjust if you become too hot or too cold.
  2. Allow at least two hours after eating a full meal before coming to Yoga class. A light snack within two hours is okay.
  3. Bring a large towel and/or a yoga mat. If you do not have a yoga mat, we have some that you may borrow. When you decide that you want your own yoga mat, we have some available for sale.
  4. Please do not wear perfume or cologne to class.
  5. Come with an open mind and a willingness to try something new.
  6. Classes often fill to capacity, therefore we require that you register via phone or email before attending your first class. (contact us)
  7. Arrive 5-10 minutes early when attending your first class.
  8. Please be respectful to the teacher and other students in the class by arriving a few minutes before the start of class and honoring the sacred space in the room.
  9. Most important, relax and have fun.
